The FM-MK2 is an integrated microcontroller for keyboards or other MIDI products. The device is designed for direct interface to standard FATAR keyboard assemblies. A minimum of external components is required to build a complete MIDI master keyboard with Pitch and Modulation controls. The modulation input may be user programmed to issue any standard MIDI control change message. The transmit channel and key transpose functions are also user programmable via simple keyboard entry. MIDI Program and Bank change functions are compatible with any General MIDI synthesizer.
A single +5V supply is required. The on-chip clock generator is controlled by an external crystal.
